Who We Are
World Economic Federation (WEF) is a grassroots-driven, ranked-choice democratically governed federation of local and regional chapters that work collectively to empower communities especially those historically marginalized through technology education, economic development, and civic engagement. We deliberately chose a federation model, where each local chapter retains autonomy over programming, partnerships, and fundraising, while sharing best practices and resources with a global network.
Our Mission
Reclaim Communities: Counterbalance corporate-only agendas by putting decision making and economic benefits back in the hands of local community stewards.
Empower Through Education: Offer accessible, hands-on training in high-demand technology fields (AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, IoT) so community members can gain meaningful, well-paid careers.
Build Local Leadership: Cultivate leadership skills, public speaking, project management, ethical decision-making so graduates become confident local change-makers.
Foster Sustainable Economies: Connect small businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs to digital tools, micro-grant funding, and a marketplace of ethical partners.
Why a Federation?
Local Autonomy + Global Solidarity
Local Autonomy: Each chapter elects its own board, chooses which programs best suit its population, and negotiates local sponsorships. This ensures that we respond to the specific needs, cultural, economic, or geographic of each community.
Global Solidarity: Chapters share open-source curricula, and pool resources for large-scale initiatives. Because we are federated, no single entity dictates direction; instead, we build consensus across chapters and scale solutions that prove successful at the local level.
Why It Matters: Reclaiming communities from corporate influence.
